Osprey

 There were 6 Osprey nests on our section of beach this season

Live fish account for about 99% off their diet.  Barbed pads on the soles of their feet help them grip slippery fish.

Great Egret

This beautiful species is the symbol of the National Audubon Society

 Notice all the dead Australian Pines in the background.  This is a very GOOD THING!

Many of these non-native exotics have been girdled and have or are dying.  Which is a VERY good thing.

These birds have a slow flight and fly with their necks retracted, a distinguishing characteristic.
