Potpourri from Bird Survey on Pinellas NWR: 12-17-16



As soon as the Osprey flew away that was eating a fish on the top of this channel marker this opportunistic Ring-billed Gull swooped in to claim what was left






Our 2nd most common gull after the Laughing Gull.

Red-breasted Mergansers are always a pleasure to see.




They breed farther north and winter farther south than the other American mergansers.







Heading back to the Howard's dock we passed this condo complex with a Peregrine Falcon perched on top.
