Alaska- Bears

Brown Bears take advantage of low tide to feed on invertebrates under rocks in the intertidal zone.

Brown Bears have massive shoulder muscles which allow them to easily flip over boulders that would take two or three of us to turn.

Sometimes we can watch them "do their bear things" up close and personal.

Black Bears also feed in the intertidal zone among the rocks along the shoreline.
