It’s a busy boating day even though the closest high & dry marina has very strict requirements.
You must call at least 2 hours ahead of time to reserve a 10 minute slot.
You must be there at your assigned time, get your boat and be gone within your 10 minute window.
Saturday every 10 minute slot from 8 am until 8 pm was taken and our next door neighbor couldn’t take his boat out.
We paddled into Coffee Pot Bayou and around Bird Island this morning and there were 9 boats anchored fishing near our house.
Word is they were catching lots of big speckled trout but due to the bad Red Tide outbreak we had last year the trout, redfish and snook seasons are all closed.
