Reptiles and Amphibians abound at Horicon Marsh NWR: 5-28-17

Snakes
Interestingly, in all the thousands of miles we've driven on this trip, on all the many miles we've hiked in the woods, and all the countless hours we've hiked through the forests, for 6 weeks and one day we had not seen a single snake!  Finally on Memorial Day we encountered 3 Eastern Ribbon Snakes on hikes in Horicon Marsh NWR.

Eastern Painted Turtle

One of the most beautiful of North American turtles.

Green Frog

American Toad

Northern Leopard Frog

Bullfrog

It jumped too quickly for me

So I resorted to Slo-Mo video!
