New River Trail, VA: 9-12-16

Today (Monday, Sept 12th) we left sister Marti's home in Winston-Salem, NC (after a great weekend visit!) and headed north through Galax, VA (NO cell coverage even in the middle of town) and on to Fries (pronounced "freeze"), VA (also NO cell coverage in the entire town but we do have WiFi at the campground)) and camped near the New River.  The New River Trail (a Rails to Trails) is a 58 mile awesome bike/run trail (with an entrance across the street from our campground) and we had a nice 25 mile bike ride this afternoon.  We are at 2,500 feet elevation and the weather is cooler and the humidity is lower than we had in W-S though each day we were there was cooler and had less humidity than the day before.
