Swainson’s Thrush

This species may be displaced by the Hermit Thrush where their ranges overlap.  Possibly, the Hermit Thrush adapts more readily to human encroachment upon its habitat.

Killdeer

They are ground-nesting birds that are famous for hiding their nests right out in the open.

They really use no nesting materials and rely on distraction displays to protect their offspring.

Mourning Dove

Male American Goldfinch

These birds are one of the latest nesting species, starting in late June or early July, when most other songbirds are finishing with breeding.

Eastern Kingbird

These birds feed on insects and fruits, often foraging by hovering and pouncing on prey on the ground.
