Like other loons, the Pacific Loon walks extremely awkwardly on land and actually cannot even take flight from land at all.

Horned Grebes: these grebes regularly eat some of their own feathers, and their stomach usually contains a matted plug of them. This plug is felt to function as a filter or may hold fish bones in the stomach until they can be digested.
