Snowy Egret
Most of the year these egrets have yellow lores (the patch of tiny feathers between the eye and bill; these loral feathers grow out and forward, toward the bill, and this can have significant implications for color patterns when the head is seen from different angles)
During the breeding season (February through summer) their lores turn red and their feet are orange
He is displaying, probably trying to influence one of the females
These beautiful breeding feathers were the reason they were hunted almost into extinction back in the day.
They get very feisty during the breeding season
Fights are common
