Snowy Egrets
In their breeding finery those feathers are quite glamorous
Yellow feet are a good field mark for these birds as they grasp the mangrove branches.
Easy to see why these delicate feathers were in such demand for lady’s hats back in the day and thusly almost led to their extinction by plume hunters.
On the nest with two chicks which stuck their heads up when their parent left to get them more food.
