Topsail Hill Preserve State Park: Friday, Feb 17th

Blue-headed Vireo

Another winter visitor along with oh so many more "snowbirds"

This is the only vireo within its range that makes extensive use of coniferous forests.

Just hangin' on

Handsome Male American Kestrel, North America's smallest member of the falcon family

Incoming!  Brown Pelicans

Female Red-breasted Mergansers

These Mergansers breed farther north and winter farther south than the other American mergansers.
