Friday, June 3rd: Travel day

Friday, June 3rd:  Travel day

We were disappointed with the lack of birds in Acadia NP.  We birded 8-10 hours a day for 3 days and covered most of the trails in the park and ended up only recording 42 species.  After leaving Acadia National Park this morning we traveled a few miles north to Hancock, ME to visit good friends, Janet and Peter Burnett.  We got a super tour of their home(s) and the awesome rural area where their summer home is located.
Three hours later up the mostly awful-terrible Coastal Route 1, we crossed into Canada at Calais, ME.  We lost an hour as we are now on Atlantic Time.  We are camped near Black's Harbor, Bay of Fundy and will take the ferry to Grand Manan Island in the morning.
